Let's go into the details of the itinerary!

Day 1

Yerevan- Arch of Charents – Geghard monastery - Garni Pagan Temple – Yerevan

Today we are heading to explore royal routes in Armenia. First we will stop at the Arch of Charents. This Arch is the place where biblical Mt. Ararat unveils and shows itself in all its beauty, power and grace. The way to Geghard is not that long, only 30 minutes- drive and you are in front of the monastery. Geghard Monastery is one of the marvels of Armenian architecture. The monastery is in a perfect position, surrounded by the high mountains, Khosrov Forest State Reserve, the sound of the Azat River breaking the peace. The breathtaking reality will be reflected in the photos for sure. Drive through the large village named Garni. Every time you will open up another secret of the village hidden in the monasteries and gardens, behind khachkars, around the canyon and the temple in this village. Get in the territory of Garni Temple and feel the Hellenistic-style. The temple was dedicated to the god of sun Mihr in the period of Paganism. The temple has withstood so many disasters but now it is rising high on the edge of the cliff. Enjoy the atmosphere at the temple. Here, every moment is love, every single fragment of air is love. Take in the whole authentic atmosphere participating in pottery, woodcarving and join the local Cuisine Masters to bake Armenian Lavash and try typical Armenian “brduch” with lavash and village cheese. Have lunch at one of the local village houses baking traditional Armenian bread ‘lavash” and enjoying village atmosphere. After you will have a light hike to the gorge of Garni Village to enjoy The Symphony of Stones-an amazing natural marvel at the bank of Azat river
